Donation Informally Approved

I went to Atlanta on Thursday to meet with a liver specialist. After a fairly short discussion, he said that I was approved to move forward with the kidney donation. There are still some formalities involved, but we are just waiting on my Dad’s transplant team to set a date for us to have the procedure done.

Update on my Dad

My dad has been doing dialysis for over a month now, and I got to see him this past Thursday. It was great to see his smile! He has lost weight, and it looks good on him. Oh, and just in case you didn’t know, I really don’t like needles. The EKG wasn’t difficult until the sticky… Continue reading CT Scan

Prayer Request Update 07-31

Please pray for Caanan to have a God given peace and comfort with me going through the kidney donor process. It is almost lunchtime now and the tests are going really well. My creatinine level is good which means my kidney function is normal. I still need to meet with the surgeon, the nephrologist, have a CT scan, and a… Continue reading Prayer Request Update 07-31
