I need to ask that you will pray for my family. My dad’s kidney function is now below 11% and he has had an arteriovenous fistula implant to prepare for dialysis. He needs a kidney transplant and has had quite a few other people go through the process to be tested as a donor, but they have all failed for some reason or the other. I have been going through the tests for a few weeks and so far, have been a match and a good candidate for the procedure. I am scheduled to go to Emory in Atlanta next week for an in person evaluation and further tests. Please be in prayer, first for my dad, Phil. Because of the decreased kidney function, he has very little energy, is short of breath, and really doesn’t feel well. Be in prayer that if it is God’s will that he be miraculously healed before he needs dialysis or a kidney transplant. Please pray that if it is God’s will that my tests will continue to go well for the transplant, that the surgery will go flawlessly, and that both of us will recover quickly and that the transplant will be successful for my dad. Please pray for the doctors and nurses involved to have wisdom to know how to deal with any issues or problems that may arise during the next few months. Pray that God will give my dad comfort and peace, and that he will have the strength he needs to endure all of this. Pray that my mom, Dian, will have the strength she needs to support my dad. Pray for Caanan, that she will continue to be at peace with this decision and that she will be able to provide the support she needs to me through all of this. Pray that God will provide for all of the financial burdens as well, both for my parents and for me as we have to travel back and forth to Atlanta.
In Christ,
